- Client: Darcon Construction Corporation
- Owner: Orchard Beach
- Tri-State Scope of Work: Caissons
Project Summary
Tri-State Civil Const (TSCC) performed drilled caisson foundation work for the Orchard Beach Pavilion Reconstruction as a subcontractor to Darcon Construction Corporation. The project represents the city’s first step in restoring this iconic costal landmark to its former function and glory. The scope of work includes structural demolition, reconstruction of concrete columns and roof slabs, façade restoration, ADA-compliant upgrades, and updates the outdated MEP systems. All work is being completed within a highly active public park and beach environment, adding complexity to every phase of the construction.
Tri-State Work Summary
TSCC’s scope included the furnishing and installation of 72 fifty-ton compressive capacity caissons to support the reconstructed pavilion structure. Two drill rigs were mobilized to maintain production and meet project sequencing requirements. Core drilling of 12 existing reinforced concrete mat slab locations was also performed in coordination with Darcon to facilitate caisson installation through the existing foundation.
TSCC’s work on the Orchard Beach Pavillion demonstrates our ability to deliver precise foundation solutions in active, public-facing environments while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
