Project at a Glance
- Client: Brighton Construction Group
- Location: Long Island, NY
- Tri-State Scope of Work: Deep Well Dewatering
Summary
Tri-State provided comprehensive deep well dewatering services for the Bay Park Sidestream project on behalf of Brighton Construction Group in partnership with RJ Scalamandre. The project supported critical wastewater and environmental infrastructure improvements designed to enhance system resiliency and long-term operational reliability in coastal Long Island conditions.
Tri-State Work Summary
Tri-State’s scope included the furnishing, installation, operation, and maintenance of a large-scale deep well dewatering system necessary to support excavation, utility installation, and underground construction activities in areas impacted by high groundwater conditions. The dewatering operations were designed to maintain dry and stable excavation conditions while supporting continuous construction activities within a sensitive coastal environment.
The system included the installation of deep wells, multiple high-capacity pumps, discharge piping, temporary manifolds, and generator-powered pumping equipment to provide reliable 24-hour groundwater control throughout all phases of work. Tri-State coordinated the routing and installation of temporary discharge piping systems to safely convey groundwater from the excavation areas while maintaining compliance with environmental and permitting requirements.

The work required extensive coordination with project management teams, environmental personnel, and adjacent trades to sequence dewatering operations alongside ongoing excavation and utility activities. Continuous monitoring, maintenance, and adjustment of the pumping systems were necessary to respond to changing groundwater conditions and maintain system performance under demanding construction schedules.
This project demonstrated Tri-State’s expertise in deep well dewatering systems, temporary pumping infrastructure, and large-scale groundwater management for complex environmental and heavy civil infrastructure projects in challenging coastal environments.
